Services We Provide
The Educational Resource Center of Santa Cruz is committed to providing
educational resources, enrichment materials, and support for families and educators of
preschool through sixth grade children.
Lending Library
Our primary service is a membership based resource lending library
consisting of over 2200 educational materials, including such items as:
The lending library gives families and educators access to seldom used but valuable
learning materials such as microscopes and puzzles for a fraction of the cost of purchasing
such items. In addition, members can "test drive" learning materials they may wish to
purchase for long term use from a store or catalog without having to spend the money to
purchase the item first.
Workshops and Classes
We offer workshops for parents, educators, and/or children. These workshops will be
advertised to both members and non-members and will always be at a reduced rate or in
some instances free to members.
Heddi is also available to speak to your group or organization on educational topics for a

Private Consultation
Private consultation is available for parents of Kindergarten through eighth grade students.
We work with parents to determine the child's unique learning style and recommend
learning materials and instructional techniques to support the child's educational needs.

- A bulletin board is available for members to network with other members. Please feel
free to use this board to buy/sell learning items, search for playgroups or learning
clubs, advertise for tutors or mentoring, etc. - Low cost lamination, binding, and copying. (Current prices are .50/ft. for lamination,
.10 to .60 per binding, and .10/copy for photocopying.) - Workshops for parents, educators, and/or children. These workshops will be
advertised to both members and non-members and will always be at a reduced rate
or in some instances free to members. - The Resource Center is always willing to help match learning materials with interests
and needs. Member input helps decide what new materials will be purchased. - The Resource Center is eco-friendly! Reuse toys and reduce clutter in your home or
classroom. - Save money by borrowing toys children outgrow quickly at a fraction of the cost of
purchasing them. - We give you access to seldom used but valuable learning materials such as
microscopes and puzzles. - Supplement school experiences with activities from the Resource Center.
- A membership gives you the opportunity to try learning resources before you buy them
from a store or catalog.
