The Educational Resource Center offers a variety of classes for children, parents and
educators. See a complete list of upcoming workshops below.
All classes require registration! Please preregister for paid classes at least one week
prior to the first day of class. You may preregister for free classes up to the day before the
class.
For Children:
We are sharing our space Finger Babble sign language classes for babies 8 months to
2 years.
Let's Play in Spanish has moved to the Portola Shopping Center.
For Parents:
Please pre-register for all workshops. Workshops with less than four
pre-registered participants will be cancelled.
What Is Your Child’s Learning Style?
Saturday, Sept. 20th, 10-11am
How does your child learn best? This workshop will help parents support their child’s
learning in the best way possible. For parents of pre-K through sixth graders. Cost:
FREE/members, $5 sliding scale/non-members
Exploring Homeschooling
Saturday, October 11th, 10-11am
Learn more about styles of homeschooling and homeschooling options in California. For
parents of pre-K through 11th graders.. Cost: FREE/members, $5 sliding scale/non-
members
Helping Your Child Learn to Read
Saturday, November 8th, 4-6pm
How does reading happen? What can you do to help your child become a reader? For
parents of pre-readers and beginning readers. Cost: $5/members, $9/non-members
Homeschooling Parent Support Group
Meet with other homeschooling parents on the second Monday of the month to discuss
joys and challenges in a supportive environment. This free support group takes place on
the second Monday of every month from 7-9pm.
